Prayer is Powerful

Prayer is certainly powerful, however, are we doing it right?
Jesus spent a lot of time in prayer in deep communication with the Father. He even laid out how we should pray.

9 “This, then, is how you should pray: [Jesus’ instruction does not get any clearer than this]

“‘Our Father [He is the creator of all things] in heaven, [perhaps better translated as of the heavens]
hallowed be your name, [a name that is greater than all names, indescribable, omniscience holiness]
10 your kingdom come,[He is everywhere ]
your will be done,[and He is in control of everything.]
on earth as it is in heaven.[not just here on Earth but also in the heavens]
11 Give us today our daily bread.[we praise you and ask for your love and discernment each day]
12 And forgive us our debts,[take away our sins as we submit to you]
as we also have forgiven our debtors.[help us to live a Christlike life and forgive those that have done wrong, harm or have sinned against us, just as you did for us.]
13 And lead us not into temptation,[protect us from falling backward into sin and give us discernment over our choices]
but deliver us from the evil one.’“[we look to you Father, to stand alongside us so that when temptation or attack from the devil comes, you will give us the ability to choose wisely and focus only on you.]

So, this then is how we should pray.
Many people when they pray ask God something and end their communications. However, God will communicate with us. We just need to listen for His answer. This is why daily reading from the Bible and daily prayer is so important. Of course, God can communicate with us through a pencil if He wants, but the most reliable way is to come to Him in prayer and a personal relationship with the one and only Creator of all.

If you would like to have a relationship with Jesus, you must confess that you are a sinner, then repent from your sinful life and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Believing that the Christ is God come to Earth to die for your sin and having been crucified and buried, He rose on the third day then after appearing to many witnesses He ascended into the heavens. Fulfilling the prophecy of the Messiah.
If you have made that decision today, please leave me a note, so that I may congratulate and assist you in the next steps.
May God bless you, in every way.
Following His call,
Bill
